A survivor of the Israeli military’s deliberate and unprovoked attack on the spy ship USS Liberty that killed 34 American sailors and wounded 171 fellow shipmates, Phil Tourney, was interviewed by Jimmy Dore. The 57th anniversary of the 1967 attack which was covered up by then Commander in Chief LBJ is on June 8th. Tourney tells Dore the plan was for Israel to sink the ship as a false flag to get the US involved in a war against Egyptian President Nasser. The Six Day War resulted in the seizing of Gaza, now being destroyed by Israel. Jimmy’s interview with Phil, president of the USS Liberty Veterans Association, begins at 6:15.
