This could be the harbinger of another revelation that the FBI made other misrepresentations on FISA applications. It appears the court is playing CYA with this unprecedented press release. Not only that, they have thrown the FBI under the bus and called into question their trustworthiness in other [FISA] applications. We shall see what other folks they have spied on unjustly. It could be some journalists or possibly sitting Senators, Generals like Flynn etc. And if this explodes, it explodes on Obama’s lap.

From the FISA Court press release:

“The frequency with which representations made by FBI personnel turned out to be unsupported or contradicted by information in their possession, and with which they withheld information detrimental to their case, calls into question whether information contained in other FBI applications is reliable,” federal Judge Rosemary Collier wrote in an opinion for the court published Tuesday.”

Update 12/19

I’m on record as saying new disclosures along these line are coming out and they are trying to get in front of the story. I suspect that other targets of FISA warrants have included Senators, Generals and investigative journalists. They were probably trying to chase down leaks that led to stories unfavorable to the growing Police-state and Surveillance-state. With the election of Obama in 08 all the ill-begotten Patriot Act Surveillance-state domestic snooping continued unabated. Obama’s only requirement was that they become more Dem partisan and the Intel community was agreeable to that. We will see new disclosures come out. Interesting times ahead.

Stay tuned. This is just two days apart. I suspect that Horowitz’s job will continue to be burying things and running out the clock but these things may have escaped his control. For instance, if a military General was the target, the cover-up is not as easy to handle as ordinary partisan stuff within the State Dept.
