Lew,

After 59 years, a member of Congress finally has called for a congressional investigation into the unprovoked and deliberate attack on the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967. Rep. Thomas Massie made the plea on the anniversary of the attack that killed 34 and wounded 174 serviceman that was covered up by the US government. Survivor Phil Tourney had personally lobbied Massie on the issue in an elevator on Capitol Hill. Kim Iverson elaborated on the historical development in her podcast.
