Joan Quigley, a San Francisco astrologer, was hired by Nancy Reagan–at Merv Griffin’s recommendation–after the attempted assassination of the president, to vet his schedule. Soon Joanne was vetting all important presidential decisions, and urging–she said–the prez to be less belligerent towards Russia.
