Re: Armenian genocide resolution reaffirms the ‘g-word’ is a tool for U.S. interests, by Max Parry – The Unz Review

Writes a clear-eyed friend:

Thanks, Lew.  Like I said, it is always political – no matter what they say or which way they vote.

This essay raises another interesting point: it is only genocide when “they” do it – “they” being whichever one of Oceania, Eurasia, or Eastasia happens to be the odd man out this week.  Turkey happened to fall into that category today; it was different yesterday and it will be different tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Armenians (and other Christians and Muslims) are getting slaughtered today by the same people supposedly complaining about atrocities from 100 years ago (and by the same people who have cornered the victimhood of atrocities from 75 years ago).

Perhaps it is just all a more evil example of what is happening in Washington right now: accuse the “other” of minor examples of the major crimes you have committed.
