Writes a friend:
I found “Outlaw/King” to be a surprisingly good movie. It cast the English in a very bad light, as ruthless conquerers and terrifying murderers, the Scots as nationalists and lovers of their land, their people, and their freedom.
Here is the haunting, colloquial version of “Land o’ the Leal” from “Outlaw/King.”
P. S. – Dolly Partin sings like this. Some things are just genetic.
