Before dawn Friday morning, August 24,  the MSM is on the job in AZ reporting MCain family’s statement that the designated hero has decided to forego further medical treatment.  Editorial boards gasp, tributes written, biggies prepared for the Sunday papers.  Appropriate pundits & flunkies in position for weekend political shows..

On August 25, at 9:31 PM, NBC reports MCain’s death at 4:28 pm August 24.

If Johnny was so close to the end on the 24th, why the announcement about his choice to end further medical treatment?  To prepare us all for the shocking passing of the great man?

Heck no, it was done to guarantee a full flush of newspaper commentary lording the warmonger.  Maybe TPTB were planning additional reports of family members reading the subsequent flattery and bunkum to the dying man to keep the “hero” coverage going.  Main thing – proper tone established before the death, reported over 29 hours post-factum.

Gee, I wonder which DC PR agency advised this gambit?
