As a long-time LP observer confirmed to me, the nomination of 2 liberal Republicans–Gary Johnson and William Weld–is a new frontier. They comprise, he said, the least libertarian ticket in the party’s history. The MSM, the neocons, the Kochs, etc. are hailing them for splitting the pro-Trump vote. In fact, they will split the anti-Trump vote, helping him, and hurting Hillary.
