This is a true story.

I talked to a Brit guy today. He said “Voting is so important!”

I asked, “Why do you vote?”

He replied, “I vote so we can choose our representatives in office!”

“Oh, really?” I replied. “How are you voting on Brexit?” I added.

He replied, “I’m voting to stay in the EU!”

“Really?” I queried. “Did you know that the EU has 5 unelected presidents and over 300 unelected EU bureaucrats?”

“Oh?” he looked puzzled.

“Yes.” I added, “So your vote is important so that you can vote so that your future votes don’t matter.”

He said, “Gee, I’ve never thought of it that way.” He added that he ‘hopes things get better.'”

I do not doubt for a second that he has never “thought” that way….

“Thought” being the key word here…
