Free money is as important as free expression, he said, and Bitcoin is the bulwark against government and corporate expansion and intrusion. He cited the truckers’ strike in Ottawa where the Canadian government froze the bank accounts of thousands of peaceful protesters who had not been charged with violating any laws. They had been identified through data and surveillence technologies as illustrating the dangers of other centralized digital and programmable currency. It will be used with surveillance system to cut off the credit and bank accounts of dissidents. Covid was used to suspend the Constitution but there is no exception for emergencies or pandemics and the founders knew that because there were many epidemics during their lifetimes. He laid out his specific Bitcoin agenda and announced his campaign will be the first to accept Bitcoin as donations.
