“Unfortunately, it is election season here in Canada, as well.

Many of my statist friends remain outraged that I do not vote.

The usual argument I have heard over and over is, ‘Those who vote cannot complain.’

I have pointed out countless times that it is in fact the opposite. Those who vote cannot complain, especially if they voted for the winner.

While out with a group for dinner yesterday, I posed this particular question to a hardcore state worshipper. ‘ Being that Adolph Hitler was democratically elected, do you believe that those who voted for him were morally responsible for his war crimes?’

This particular individual glared at me, refused to answer, and then remained silent on government issues the rest of the night.

Strike one up for us libertarians.”
