Writes Ginny Garner:
Lew,
I was watching an old Tonight Show clip and Johnny Carson tells Frank Sinatra that he like so many people, when they are in a romantic mood, listens to Ol’ Blue Eye’s music Johnny asked Frank what he plays during those lovely moments. Frank said he listens to “classy jazz” like Daphnis et Chloe and Sunken Cathedral. Apparently he was a fan of classical music: “I don’t fool around with all that other stuff.” I had to listen to the Debussy piece. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
