The legendary Christopher Tolkien, son of JRR Tolkien, has died at the age of 95. Christopher devoted his life to his father’s works and did an excellent job in editing and publishing them. It was in a letter to Christopher that JRR Tolkien revealed that he was an anarchist, saying his “political opinions lean more and more to Anarchy” and that “the most improper job of any man, even saints (who at any rate were at least unwilling to take it on), is bossing other men. Not one in a million is fit for it, and least of all those who seek the opportunity.”
