As much as I’d be thrilled to see RP as Sec. of State or of Treasury in a Trump administration, Trump’s best play would be to name Dr. Paul to be his running mate!

Dr. Paul a/k/a ‘Dr. No’ and “Mr. Integrity’ would bring tremendous reputational capital to the Donald’s campaign and presidency.  RP in the VP slot would reassure those who fear “the man on a white horse” syndrome and the sometimes volatile Trump.  All RP would have to do officially is preside over the Senate and vote when the Senate faces a tie vote.  (Who knows, maybe even Carol would be onboard with that!  Heck, Ron could continue spending most of his time in Texas, not D.C.)

Let Trump make his deals with RP as his conscience and constitutional guide.

But the best part would be that the Deep State would NOT dare to take the Donald out – not with RP in place to succeed him!  Trump, in such circumstances, would be safe as houses.

The look on Kristol’s and the other neocons’ faces at such a development might just be worth this year’s tax bill!
