American War Against Mexico: 1846-48

Writes Tim McGraw:

I finished watching the last hour of this documentary tonight. The San Patricios are mentioned in this last segment, but what amazed me is in the last five minutes of the documentary. I was not aware that President Harry Truman visited Mexico City in 1947 on the 100th anniversary of the battle at Chapultepec. President Truman went to the war memorial at the fort to pay homage to the Mexican soldiers who fought bravely there.

Truman then goes on to give a speech promoting nonintervention and how it is wrong for a strong nation to attack a weak nation. If only the neocons followed Truman’s policy in the past decades.
