Alternate view of the Coronavirus hoax

Writes Chris Condon:

Dear Lew:

It is at least possible that the Coronavirus hoax is not a deliberately contrived hoax, but a case of mass hysteria. It is a fact that cell phones and other forms of wireless technology are in widespread use. Much of our population spends much of their time texting or talking on their cellphones. Not only is an unhealthy use of time, but for quite some time, evidence has also been growing that wireless technology is toxic to human beings. Unfortunately, most people ignore this growing evidence and continue talking merrily on their cellphones. Is it possible that the widespread use of wireless technology caused widespread mental disturbances that resulted in a world-wide panic?

But how then would this explain the apparently sinister promotion of the coronavirus hoax by people in high places? I have read a lot of history and discovered that not only does power corrupt people morally, but can also disturb their judgment. One particular thing that I have observed again and again and again is that people in high places are prone to irrational fears. In the event of a mass panic, these people would be even more vulnerable to panic than the Man in the Street. We must not assume that people in high places are so in control of matters that they themselves are immune from these things.

If my speculations are correct, we could be in for plenty more of the same. As people finally sober up from the Coronavirus hoax, might we see other panics regarding invasions from outer space or comets smashing into the earth?
