Once again, a person living in the bastion of “capitalism”—the United States—shows how economically-ignorant most sheeple are in this country (and everywhere else in the world, for that matter). Joshua Thompson has filed a class action lawsuit against AMC theaters alleging that they “overcharge” for the snacks offered at their movie theater concession stands. Thompson probably believes it’s his Constitutional “right” to be offered reasonably-priced snacks at a movie theater. (“Silly goose” that I am, I thought people went to the movies to WATCH MOVIES. I never seem to have a problem not buying any of the necessarily more-expensive-than-usual snacks when I go to the movies.)
What of course is also obvious to most of you reading this “Onion-esque” story is the fact that Thompson was actually able to find a sleazy lawyer (redundant?) to take on this bogus lawsuit.
