The corporate media regularly regales us with its opinion of—sorry, news about homosexuality. It insists that a “majority” of Americans “support same-sex marriage,” indeed, that “Democrats overwhelmingly favor” it while even we philistines are gradually coming onboard (“Pew poll shows rising support for gay marriage”).
Hard to believe, then, that enough troglodytes remain for “lines of Chick-fil-A fans [to snake] around the eateries and down streets Wednesday” as people cheered the company’s defense of Biblical morality. “Crammed drive-throughs caused traffic jams on nearby streets, often requiring attendants to direct cars. At several locations in Orange County and Long Beach, [CA,] lunchtime crowds swelled to more than 100 people. Similar crowds converged across the country at Chick-fil-A, which has more than 1,600 branches. In Madison, Ala., police were called to maintain order.”
Hmmm. Could it be that the corporate media has once again lied to support the Progressive agenda? Still, despite such relentless propaganda, it seems many Americans continue to cherish the primacy and privacy of the family. They understand its importance as a bulwark against the State and the attacks it thereby provokes from fascists, socialists, and other worshippers of Big Government.
But we needn’t take the mendacious media’s word on the mobs at Chick-fil-A. I confirmed the story with friends who patronized one of the restaurants in the Midwest. They testified that yes, lines were out the door but everyone was pleasant and friendly as they waited. “I didn’t hear a single complaint [about the delay],” one gentleman who never exaggerates told me.
