As a resident of Florida I note that Andrew Gillum, the mayor of Tallahasse, Florida, won the Democratic primary election in an upset last night. Yawn. If elected in November, he would be Florida’s first black governor. Yawn. But to become governor, he must first defeat Representative Ron DeSantis, the Republican nominee for governor, who won his primary. Yawn. I did not vote in the primary.
