World War III: Those Masked Masses Yearning to Breathe Free

With the Usurper seizing power, there’s bound to be bad news on the homefront: Uncle Joe’s threatening to “[unite] the nation in a new effort grounded in science” to beat coronavirus. Which is kinda like relying on a new effort grounded in science to catch a unicorn but not as much fun.

Ergo, Patriots’ efforts to sabotage, rebel, and otherwise defy this assault on decency, reason, and—most importantly—liberty, are more essential than ever. Herewith, reports from your fellow soldiers in various theaters.

Mr. Anonymous found that

it was very heartening to dine in a restaurant in California where the employees do not wear masks, nor are customers required to wear masks, nor is there any anti-social distancing…..and the Recall Governor Gavin Gruesome petition is available for customers to sign.

Magnificent tactic! Those businesses in states without such petitions should start one and post it where patrons can affix their John Hancocks.

And the sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, other pastries, and specialty coffees are excellent.

I thought I smelled something delicious!

Hey – all liberty-loving Californians – please sign the petition and let’s boot Newsom into oblivion.

Hear, hear!

Mr. Anonymous II writes,

My family has a local hair salon owner here in MN that brings us in after hours so we can get haircuts without wearing masks.

And Mr. Anonymous III in Montana has been

wearing no mask and no social distancing. I’ve been removed from the lay ministry of the word, adoration, and Divine Mercy prayer. I talked to a person in the know to find out if I was being scapegoated. He said in a sense I was. Seems the control freaks are in full bloom.I have little or no contact with anyone. I had to find out about the death of a parishioner though second hand sources.

My carmelite connections in many communities tell me they have cancelled their monthly meeting mostly coming from their provincial authorities. Diocesan bishop and pastors have continued with this fraud.

Under the tyrant King Harry religious orders were martyred while the Diocesan bishops and priests remained silent. Seems history repeats itself. All of them need to resign

Amen!

From Mississippi, Anthony laments

that many people who I considered to be somewhat intelligent have swallowed it hook, line, and sinker. One of my sisters and her husband are examples, also the pastor of my church, and his 3 elder (elder, as in church leader) colleagues. I emailed my pastor the transcript of Dr Igor Shepherd’s speech (on Lewrockwell.com …) about the vaccine.  He said he would read it, but he never responded to me with any comment. Just because the ‘health czar’ in Mississippi recommended it, the elders have eliminated singing in our services for now.

Ah, obeying government rather than God. There’s a lot of that going around.

They actually had said about three weeks ago that they were going back to ‘online services only’ but about a half dozen families pushed back on that,

Excellent! See? That’s all it requires.

and we have been attending. They are ‘allowing’ us to go to church. Imagine that….being allowed to attend church by the church leadership.

Despicable, isn’t it?

In last Sunday’s message, the pastor spoke of not fearing death.  Oh yeah, let’s not fear death, but let’s be terrified of a virus with a 99.7% survival rate if one contracts it (if it even exists).

I hope the Lord appreciates irony.

But at least these apostates aren’t forcing their fellow Christians to diaper their faces: when I asked about that, Anthony responded,

No, they haven’t gone that far yet… If they did, we would be gone in a flash.  However, [Parson Goat] does wear one going to his seat, then takes it off before preaching.  What really disappointed me a couple of weeks ago (and amused me at the same time) – he led the singing of the Doxology at the end of the sermon, then proceeded to put the filthy mask on before we were even finished singing!   Here is a man who played college football in the late 70s, is 6’3, about 230 lbs, 62 years old, (as I am), and apparently has no backbone, and absolutely cannot think for himself.  My family and I don’t really want to leave the church – we have been members there since 2003 – but we are close to reaching our breaking point.   There are many sheep in the congregation (and I don’t mean ‘sheep’ in the context of following Jesus) who stopped coming to church again in December when the elders again referred to ‘guidelines’ from the Mississippi Dept of Health, suggesting congregations cease in-church services.  What other kind of ‘service’ can there be?  We told the pastor we would NEVER watch him preach on the evil Zuckerberg’s FACEBOOK again.   I don’t think he appreciated that.

I’ve noticed the same phenomenon: Goats resent our calling them on their sin.

Bill in Idaho believes the

governor has kind of backed off,  “suggesting” the counties follow the CDC guidelines, but at least in my county the churches are mostly still masked and anti-social distancing.  Including mine.  About a third of our membership are convinced of the absolute fraud being perpetrated, as am I, yet our appeals to our eldership fall on deaf ears.  As a compromise, they are now alternating Sundays with “masked” and “mask optional” services, dividing and separating our congregation even further.  Whatever happened to “…unity in the bond of peace”?

And to freedom of conscience? Have these folks never read Paul’s advice on tolerating divergent convictions?

Those of us who are anti-mask are meeting at a member’s home on alternate Sundays.  It’s not a great answer, but it’s better than splitting the congregation.

… Sorry to say this [congregation] is not getting anywhere with our current leadership.  They’re driven by fear and “don’t want to cause any trouble with the authorities.”

I’ve asked around my area about other congregations and there seems to be little difference.  My brother’s congregation in California(!) is holding full worship services with no restrictions and no one is bothering them in spite of Gov. Nuisance and his edicts.

Someone has to have the courage to be the first to defy the dictators.  If even only 10% of the churches open up to full, unrestricted services, what can they do?  Arrest all of us?

Liberty 101: if enough dissidents defy dictators, even the most draconian despot can’t maintain control.

In Ohio, Charles

was in a Lowes a few months ago and was accosted by a fellow customer.  This man, clearly in his 80’s, said I needed a mask to be in the store.  Since he wasn’t an employee, I simply ignored him.  He then proceeded to yell at me, launching into vulgarities.  I continued to ignore him, checking the shelves, but he started getting closer, when thankfully he noticed an employee and scurried over to tattle on me.  I didn’t hear their conversation, but I assume the employee said something like “I’m not his mother” because no one talked to me about not wearing a mask and I didn’t see the guy again.

Having been pretty shaken by that experience, I decided to not let it happen again.  Since the silent treatment only seemed to make things worse, and I’m terrible with confrontations, I came up with this tactic which so far has worked like a charm, and what’s great is it’s so fun!  Basically you pretend to confuse the masked person with an acquaintance.  It’s believable due to the mask obscuring the face, and serves to derail the impending persecution, and well, the reactions are just downright funny.  Here is an example that happened to me in Meijer [a grocery store]:

Some masked man (the Lone Ranger?), asked, quite rudely, “Where’s yer mask?”  I turned and looked at him and he said it again.  Pausing only a couple seconds more, I pointed at him with a smile and said “Aaron?!  Aaron Williams?!!?”  He stammered and said, “What? no, I’m, uh, McGuire.”  I continued: “…We worked together at the Y, like 10 years ago!”  He stammered some more, saying that wasn’t him and I had the wrong person.  I shrugged and said sorry and continued on my way.  As I walked away I could hear him trying to get back on his horse with something like “Yer the only one in here dumb enough to not wear a mask…” but I was gone, having just avoided what I knew would have been every bit as ugly as my experience in Lowes.

One tactic I plan on using on actual employees that tell me I need a mask is to reply that I have one, but it’s back in my cave.  Then I’ll say “Shhhh…I’m Batman, don’t tell anyone.”

No doubt they’ll laugh too hard to continue their policing!

I have used the “I can’t wear a mask safely” approach, and when the employee asks what my reason is, instead of getting into it with them, citing HIPAA and whatnot, I simply say “well, I’m not really comfortable talking about it…perhaps if I knew you better…”  They always respond with something like “No, no, that’s okay, never mind.”

Anyways, these approaches are all fairly silly, but one reason I like them is that they tend to force the humanity, if only briefly, back into these poor lost souls.

A worthy serendipity!

Mark’s

church — actually an Orthodox mission that is part of the Antiochian Orthodox Church — is blissfully free of masks and the fear that has been spawned in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic. Our mission, located in … Washington [State], offered only Zoom-based services during our state’s first lockdown, but it has since resumed normal services, complete with a communal cup at communion. While parishioners are asked to practice social distancing in the sanctuary, virtually no one wears masks during or after services. It is almost a psychological shock to be surrounded by such a blatant display of “normality”!

When the epidemic started here, the bishop of our region asked the priests to follow state guidelines, but he has since told the churches not to follow Governor Inslee’s regulations if he tries to reimpose them. My priest does not preach against communism per se, but he is often extremely critical of the “woke” culture that now permeates mainstream society. He is also acutely aware of the trials the Russian Church went through during the Soviet period, so he is no friend of the socialist trends that have recently become so pronounced here.

Jean Carbonneau is

a big hockey fan.  The 2021 World Junior Hockey Tournament just concluded in Edmonton, Canada.  Happy to say the US won the tournament.  But I found it so “interesting” that first of all, there were no spectors.  When the players were on the bench, no social distancing, and masks.  Even the coaches didn’t wear masks, but the support personnel did. And of course, during the playing of the game, none of the players wore masks, and no social distancing as well.  So, if this is the case, then why can’t you have fans watching the game?  At the ceremonies when the players received medals, the respective captains of the teams along with an administrator were giving them out.  The players didn’t wear a mask, but the administrator did.  They were many handshakes, and hugs given out during the ceremony.  I had to laugh seeing this nonsense. After the medals were handed out, the players all lined up along their respective blue lines, arm and arm with no masks, singing the national anthem.

Finally, Roger in Montana tells of an effective strategy from his friend, David, who

took it upon himself to visit hundreds of businesses in Ravalli County, MT, with the pitch that he would take out a full-page ad in the Ravalli Republic, a local newspaper in Hamilton, MT.

On behalf of Patriots everywhere, thank you, David. Roger tells me you “put in a lot of time and expense” on this project.

He committed to do this IF he was able to convince at least one hundred of them to sign on. He garnered over 120 and could have produced more quite easily. Needless to say, the ad showed up in the paper on Dec. 27, 2020.

The header, in big, bold letters:

“THANK YOU! Ravalli County Commissioners and Sheriff’s Department for showing leadership by not making criminals of county businesses who choose not to require face coverings, and residents who choose not to wear a face covering.”

The body:

Three full columns of local businesses who gave him permission to use their names.

And at the bottom of the page, the footer:

“Please support these local business [sic] with your business. Thank You!”

Both the Ravalli County Commissioners and the Sheriff’s Dept. have stated publicly that they are not going to enforce any aspect of the face mask thing and neither has backed down from that position. In my opinion, they can’t and never will, as there is a strong and growing opposition to this policy in Ravalli County.

Yee haw! As Roger says, “It is this sort of individual initiative which will produce the delicious fruit of freedom.”

And His Fraudulency may inadvertently help with that husbandry: the more he insists on masks, the more Deplorables will bare their faces.

Sorta like mooning Uncle Joe, but more offensive.
