Winning Those Hearts and Minds

From Sunday’s Washington Post we learn that child malnutrition in Iraq has doubled since the start of the US invasion. Iraq now has the child malnutrition rate of Burundi, worse than the rates of Uganda or Haiti. Before the first Gulf War and subsequent embargo the main nutrition problem facing young Iraqis was obesity. (HT: Crooked Timber.)
