It’s true that withdrawal of consent to the State undermines it, to the extent that such consent has been granted. I wonder why human beings give this consent in the first place. Why did it take Egyptians 30 years to withdraw consent from Mubarak? Why not 3 years or 3 months or 3 seconds? I raise the same question with Americans. Why do they consent to the U.S. government?
