President Obama wants to tax the foreign profits of American-based companies in order to fund infrastructure programs. Currently, corporations pay tax on foreign earnings only when they repatriate them. But instead of bringing home foreign earnings, why not bring home the troops? Closing foreign bases, ending foreign wars, bringing home the troops, and ending the empire will save more than enough money to repair American roads and bridges. It is also the right thing to do.
