Good for Kevin Blackistone for saying it should stop. And let’s go back to the happy “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” instead of the maudlin “God Bless America” for the 7th inning-stretch. During post-9/11/01 hysteria, it always seemed like an order to the Almighty: “God, Bless America!” And while we’re at it, let’s get the US war banner out of parishes.
