Ron Paul just passed McCain in Iowa in polling average but McCain is a “contender” and Paul is not, we are told. He’s way ahead of another “contender”, Thompson, in New Hampshire. I guess the MSM definition of contender is “someone we previously defined as a contender regardless of any current evidence to the contrary because we don’t want anyone in the press corps to give us a dirty look or make us eat our lunch alone.” I said it in January: fighting the political establishment and the media establishment all at the same time is great fun!
