Rall is wrong about one thing — his statement that Americans only fought against invaders in 1812 and 1846. The eleven southern states were invaded by Lincoln’s army, their cities bombed and burned, and 300 thousand of them perished defending their country against a foreign invader. These men included the descendants of the likes of Patrick Henry, Lighthorse Harry Lee (Robert E. Lee’s father, the Revolutionary War hero), and Thomas Jefferson, among others.
