Taking a short break from all the “Happy Days Are Here Again” music and celebrations on the FOX News Channel this morning, the morning show hosts played a short clip of one of the newly-elected Republican senators describing what they planned to do with all their newly-acquired power.
Politicians like to talk about problems without doing anything about them and pretending that they will just go away, said the neophyte senator. “But ISIS is not going away!” she continued, followed by lots of canned clapping and cheering by the GOP plants/flaks in the audience.
So there you have it: The Republicans raised $100 million to elect seven new senators (and possibly one or two more) so that even more American soldiers can die fighting the enemies of the Likud Party.
