A friend in Canada, David Maharaj, writes that he marvels at “a recent story of four young Canadian students who  were allegedly involved in an Algerian gas plant attack.” Reports mention that the spooks at CSIS, the Canadian equivalent of the CIA, “‘are trying to understand the sequence of events that led normal kids going from enjoying sports and girls to jihadists.’ Funny,” David adds, “but I struggle to understand the sequence of events that take normal men  and women away from being productive members of society, into joining the  predator warfare state.”
