Wendy’s post is a reminder of the absurdity of the American system of injustice. McMartin was the first big molestation witch hunt, but there were many others in the next decade, including one in Edenton, North Carolina and Wenatchee, Washington. Janet Reno became U.S. attorney general because she had managed to get convictions in Florida using some of the same tactics that were discredited elsewhere.
