After my “weed” article, I discovered that the Tucson “weed cops” have told people to cut down Globe Mallow growing in their yards because people reported them via the anonymous snitch hotline. Now, you can go to botanical museums here and learn that Globe Mallow is a native plant. Which I mention because this means it dates to before the local government. I guess people will whack down the Globe Mallow in their yard and then go to the museums to see it. That sound rather like something government would applaud.
