U.S. Navy Ships Belong in the Baltic and Black Seas

Says a retired U.S. Navy captain and award-winning naval historian, writing for National Review of course. I wonder how Americans would feel about Russian or Chinese ships in the Mississippi or Columbia Rivers, the Gulf of Mexico, or even near the Atlantic and Pacific coasts? I notice that the article refers to Putin as “former KGB officer Putin.” How come former CIA officers and Navy captains aren’t held equally in disdain?
