For suggesting in one of his Democratic National Committee (er, I mean, New York Times) columns that Trump might orchestrate a 9/11-style catastrophe in order to boost his popularity as a strong leader.  (The Dictionary.com definition of “demented,” by the way, is “crazy, insane, mad”).
