I get so tired listening to the twits and weasels in the mainstream media talking about “transparency” in politics as if it had any genuine driving force. I am reminded of George Carlin’s wonderful treatment of “honesty in politics,” recognizing that truthfulness would destroy political system. The people who have done the most to publicly reveal the corruption, violence, dishonesty, and other evils of the modern state are such champions of “transparency” as Chelsea Manning, Julian Assange, and Ed Snowden: where are they now?
