This Veteran Wants an Apology Not Honor

From Vietnam veteran James Lewis (used by permission):

I am a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. When I hear “Thank you for your service,” I tell them that since I was drafted; i.e., enslaved by my government to fight people who had done us nothing, what I want is an apology. People seem a little confused when they hear that. It seems that a majority of people in this country are mind-less boobs. How else can you explain it?
