The Vote Is In

Delegates to the 123rd convention of the Episcopal Church Diocese of Washington, D.C., voted to adopt a resolution to stop using masculine pronouns for God in future updates to its Book of Common Prayer. “Expansive language” for God should be used and the use of “gendered pronouns” for God avoided. Delegates “also passed a resolution without debate or discussion to include ‘transgender people’ in all aspects of ‘congregational life.'” No surprise there.
