The Virtues of Child Labor Explained—in 1940!

One of Hollywood’s maverick writer-directors, Preston Sturges (a name that many of you younger LRC readers might not have even heard of), explains the virtues of child labor through the voice of his title character, ‘McGinty,’ in this classic Sturges send-up of corrupt politics, The Great McGinty. (I highly recommend watching this very funny movie. Sturges also exposes the fraud of government “stimulus” through public works projects.)
