In the continuing saga of Sen. Schmuck Schumer (D-NY), the Gauleiter is now calling for all discount buses to be letter graded by that institution which, as we all know, has the “highest” standards on the planet: the government.

He called on the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to assess bus companies’ safety records with a system of letter grades — like the one that gauges hygiene at city restaurants. [How we New Yorkers survived all of these decades without our restaurants being graded by some bureaucRAT is obviously something that has never occurred to the “great” mind of Schmuck Schumer.]

Schmuck Schumer’s latest demand has come about because in the thousands of bus trips that have been safely made in the past decades, there were two(!!) recent fatal bus accidents. Of course, to a Socialist like Schumer, anything less than a perfect world indicates a market failure, ergo, drastic government oversight is needed to rectify this non-issue. (Never mind that one of the biggest causes of car accidents happens to be the organization which Schumer himself works for.)

Keep in mind that this “caring” Senator is one of the murderers who voted for the U.S. criminal assault War in Iraq which, as we all know, has taken the lives of THOUSANDS of innocent civilians. He also supports the National Socialistic “Patriot” Act, and—being the “true” liberal that he is—supports the War on Drugs. (How many innocent lives have been lost because of that government program to make our lives “safer”?)
