So-called environmentalists are best described as “watermelons” — green on the outside and red on the inside. Environmentalism has from the very beginning been a communistic scheme to abolish markets and replace them with socialism and central planning. In the early twentieth century, communists claimed that they wanted to help “the people.” Having failed miserably at the cost of over a hundred million citizens murdered by their own socialist governments, and the creation of grinding poverty wherever they “succeeded,” they never gave up. They immediately decided, “the hell with the people.” People Schmeeple. “We’re for the bugs and snakes and rocks and trees, they announced. THIS is what is important — “the planet.” And “the planet is supposedly being destroyed by capitalism and can only be saved by socialism and central planning. All of this has always been clear as a bell to anyone who bothered to read any of the books by the leading environmentalist writers of the 60s (Barry Commoner, for example).
So it is not exactly news that 130 environmental groups have issued a press release demanding the total destruction of capitalism. Watermelons of the world unite! (Thanks to Travis Holte).1:00 pm on July 23, 2014
