As the Fourth of July approaches an emailer writes to say how offended he is by the word “firecracker.”  As a proud redneck (disparaged as “crackers” by some), he prefers “firecaucasian”).  Will the hyper-PC university world pay attention to him and adopt his suggested addition to their campus speech codes?
