New Jersey Congressman and anti-impeachment Democrat Jeff Van Drew recently announced his plans to switch to the Republican Party. Van Drew generally holds positions to the right of most of his Democratic colleagues. He has generally been against gun control and has voted against raising the minimum wage.
In the words of Ronald Reagan: “I didn’t leave the Democratic party, the Democratic Party left me.”
The Democrats’ move towards the far left of the spectrum is thankfully alienating their voter base, and now even some of their cohorts.
