When the presidential candidates were employing this term during the debates, Ron Paul corrected them, saying that the president is only CIC of the military during times of war. Nevertheless, they went right on misusing this term and in due time their lieutenants in the MSM have followed suit. If that is not bad enough, I came home Saturday to find that Macy’s has also enlisted in this effort, with the cover of their Presidents Day ad pamphlet showing their model saluting the CIC.”
