I saw the excellent movie Ray a few weekends ago–about Ray Charles’s life. There’s a scene where as a young man he has to take a bus, and he has to sit in the back with the other blacks. Now this got me to thinking. Any modern liberal would say that if a bus line–even a private one–requires blacks to sit in the back and whites in the front, that this is racist and discriminatory, and should be outlawed.
