Writes Mark Bainter: “I couldn’t actually stomach listening to all of it, but I did listen to all the questions and just buzzed through some of the answers that were given when they were clearly rehashing the same old thing.
“However, I did also watch the post-forum commentary and came away with a somewhat different view than what has been posted so far. Their commentary afterwards seemed to indicate they were aware that Rudy was out. Further, everything afterwards seemed to indicate that Romney was the new man, and Huckabee was also on the hitlist. (At least, to go by Luntz’s post-forum work).
“The exchange between Romney and Huckabee was rather telling. However, what really got me tonight was hearing Wallace tell the camera that one of these five men would be the republican candidate. Nobody else even exists of course. Further, watching the news ticker report on changes in the NH polling between Rudy and Huckabee – completely ignoring Ron polling at the same level as Huckabee (acc to Rasumussen as of three hours ago anyway).
