Stop Reading Tom Woods’s Book!

Pro-state (i.e., typical) historian David Greenberg of Slate and Rutgers is alarmed. Even though Tom Woods’s Jeffersonian history of America is off the NYT bestseller list, it continues to fly off the shelves, apparently at a permanently fast pace. Ronald Radosh, Max Boot, and Cathy Young have told people not to read this book, and yet they still do. ADDENDUM: I neglected to include my favorite line from Mr. Greenberg: Tom’s “warped interpretive lens” finds “malevolence in leaders who enlarge government, seek social justice, or take the country to war.”
