I speak of course of the Peoples’ Republic of Maryland, heralded by the Baltimore Sun as a “liberal paradise.”  Maryland has long been a one-party monopoly with the One Party being a party of socialists who prefer the diversionary euphemism “Democrats.”  (They have a 98-43 majority in the House of Delegates and a 35-12 majority in the state senate — not that Maryland Republicans are much better).  During the past seven years they have raised taxes by more than $3 billion, taxing everything imaginable, and raising the tax rates on all the old stuff — gasoline, cigarettes, alcohol, etc.  As such, … Continue reading Statists Gone Wild
