The Bush administration intervenes in the Canadian elections on behalf of Tory Stephen Harper, recently endorsed by a Cato official as “pro-Iraq war” and entirely subservient to Bush. The Liberals are terrible too, especially on gun control, though they resist total colonialization. Ironically, the left-wing New Democrats are pretty good on guns, drugs, and peace, to take three of the issues of this campaign. They’re a disaster on economics, of course. Poor Canada. UPDATE: Michael Cust, Canadian libertarian, writes that the New Dems “turned coat. They now support the handgun ban. There really is no one to support.”
