Something You Can Drink To

On this date in 1933, the 21st Amendment to the Constitution was adopted. It repealed the 18th Amendment, adopted on January 17, 1920, that instituted Prohibition.

This is one of the very, very few examples where the federal government has restored liberty that was previously taken away. Although not completely. The federal government heavily regulates anything to do with alcohol, as do the states. The most ridiculous alcohol law is the drinking age of 21, as I point out here.
