Senator Tom Cotton, a conservative Republican of course, has introduced legislation to significantly reduce the amount of fentanyl a person must have in his possession to trigger mandatory sentencing minimums for narcotics trafficking. Cotton calls fentanyl a “weapon of mass destruction.”
