Scottish Self-Determination Will Hurt UK Self-Esteem

Writes Troy Grice:

Have you seen this article on Huffpo? I think you’d get a chuckle out of it.

Quote: “Losing Scotland would likely weaken Britain as a power, dent its self-confidence and make it more introverted, increasing doubts about its future in Europe.”

The author ascribing human attributes (self-confidence and introversion) to an abstract concept (a geography-based taxing authority known as “Britain”) made me laugh. Arguing that Scotland should vote “no” because Scottish self-determination would hurt Britain’s feelings further confirms for me the bizarre mindset of statists.
