Baltimore’s longtime voice of libertarianism on WBAL has been stilled. He was a gentleman, a man of principle and courage, very funny in person and on the air, and—of course—extremely talented as a broadcaster. And as a writer. In his final column for the Baltimore Sun, he wrote: “What is a mere individual to do? Live as sane and decent a life as you can, love your family and friends and understand that everybody is in this together.
